M1, NGC 2237 &M67

Images below were taken with a modified Digital Rebel through Orion ED80 Refractor with Televue .80X Reducer. The ED80 was mounted on an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount. The EQMOD ASCOM driver was used to drive the mount directly via an EQDIR interface module.

Equipment used:

Temperature was 26 degrees Fahrenheit. PHD Guiding software was used for autoguiding. The webcam software WcCtrl was used to enable long exposure modes on the Logitech Fusion webcam while autoguiding.

M1 - Crab Nebula:

18 two-minute exposures at ISO 1600 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition.

Full Frame Image was cropped on edge and reduced 50% for this 1384 X 1024 image:

 


NGC 2237 - Rosette Nebula:

22 two-minute exposures at ISO 1600 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition.

Image was cropped and reduced in size for this 600 X 614 image:


M67 - Open Cluster:

19 one-minute exposures at ISO 1600 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition.

Full Frame Image was cropped on edge and reduced 50% for this 1384 X 1024 image:
