Images below were taken with a modified Digital Rebel through Orion ED80 Refractor with Televue .80X Reducer. The ED80 was mounted on an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount. The EQMOD ASCOM driver was used to drive the mount directly via an EQDIR interface module.

 

Equipment used:

 

Temperature ranged between 20 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit and skies were clear to partly cloudy. PHD Guiding software was used for autoguiding. The webcam software WcCtrl was used to enable long exposure modes on the Logitech Fusion webcam while autoguiding.

 

 

 

 

B33 - Horsehead and Flame Nebula:

55 three-minute exposures at ISO 1600 taken on 3/18 & 3/20 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Full Frame Image was cropped on edge and reduced in size.

 


Virgo Core of Galaxies centered on M84 & M86:

21 three-minute exposures at ISO 1600 on 3/20 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Full Frame Image was cropped and reduced in size.

 


M95, M96 & M105 Galaxies in Leo:

21 three-minute exposures at ISO 1600 on 3/20 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Full Frame Image was cropped and reduced in size. From left to right the glaxies are M95, M96, M105, NGC 3384 & NGC 3389:

 


M65, M66 & NGC 3628 Galaxies in Leo:

35 three-minute exposures at ISO 1600 on 3/18 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Full Frame Image was cropped and reduced in size.
