Images below were taken with a modified Digital Rebel through Orion ED80 Refractor with Televue .80X Reducer. The ED80 was mounted on an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount. The EQMOD ASCOM driver was used to drive the mount directly via an EQDIR interface module.
Equipment used:
Temperature ranged between 40 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit and skies were clear to partly cloudy. PHD Guiding software was used for autoguiding. The webcam software WcCtrl was used to enable long exposure modes on the Logitech Fusion webcam while autoguiding.
M31 - Andromeda Galaxy:
36 one-minute exposures at ISO 1600 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Image is full frame with star field pasted over right edge amplifier glow and reduced in size:
M11 - Wild Duck Open Cluster
M11 is a compact galactic open cluster. It contains an estimated 2900 stars and 500 of these are brighter than magnitude 14.
11 one-minute exposures at ISO 1600 were combined in Images Plus using Adaptive Addition. Full Frame Image was cropped on right edge to remove amplifier glow and then reduced in size:
