Long Exposure Results - 1/14/00

Below are screenshots from QCV2 using greyscale quickcam with varying long exposure settings.

Scope: 10 inch LX200 with Celestron f 6.3 focal reducer, wedge and cement pier

Greyscale quickcam in original plastic quickcam housing with anti-blooming disabled.

Temperature: Single digit Fahrenheit

Sky conditions: First Quarter Moon, partly cloudy, wind gusts and moderate light pollution

Since this was a test I was not concerned with acheiving a good focus. I did not guide any of the images. I recently replaced both drive assemblies in the LX200 and have not set up the PEC.

Eskimo Nebula:

47 second exposure

80 second exposure

205 second exposure

Herring bone pattern is visible in all three
