This was my third time imaging with the Canon 10D digital SLR camera attached to a 20 inch Starmaster. I use a new Denkmeier 2 inch OCS that replaced a prototype unit I used for earlier images. The Denkmeier OCS allows prime focus imaging at a magnification of about 1.3X without shortening of the scope's truss poles. This final version of the OCS provided a solid coupling to the camera using Denkmeier's camera T-ring adapter. Without the Denkmeier OCS, these low power images at prime focus would not be possible without coversion of the scope to full time astrophotograpy/imaging use.

Ambient temperature was near 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It was calm with some haze and images were taken as the Moon was rising. Earlier images taken with the dob had many star streaked images even at 30 second exposures since M51 was at zenith and the scope was struggling to track while in "Dobsonian's Hole". Looking forward to getting longer exposures to stack with better tracking from a darker site.

IMAGES PLUS was used for stacking images and NEAT IMAGE was used for noise reduction.
